First Community Credit Union was chartered in 1954 to serve the employees of the Spring Branch Independent School District. In 1983, our field of membership expanded to add the employees of the Alief Independent School District and their families. 1988 marked the expansion to the Greater Houston Area as the credit union was granted a community charter. 2001 welcomed the expansion of our charter into Fort Bend County, followed by an expansion into Montgomery County in 2013. FCCU began and continues to serve the communities of Spring Branch, Alief, Cy-Fair, Katy, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Spring, Tomball, and The Woodlands.
Over the years, First Community Credit Union has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Houston. From our small beginnings to our current $1.2 billion in assets, we have always operated under the philosophy of "people-helping-people." FCCU invites anyone who lives or works in Harris, Fort Bend or Montgomery County to discover a First-Rate difference with us. For more than six decades we have provided exceptional service and convenience to members.
First Community Credit Union continues to lead the way as a high-tech, high-touch credit union with leading digital services including Online Banking, Mobile Banking, iPhone/Android Apps and more. FCCU also works to ensure our members are backed by the latest in security, launching products including EMV chip cards and My Money Maps.
