Ever since we were founded in 1955, Grow has always been more about people than profit. Since banks back then didn’t really understand how to work with service members, a group of civilian employees at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa decided base personnel needed their own credit union. These employees cleared out a broom closet and the MacDill Air Force Base Federal Credit Union was born. The next couple of decades were a boom time for the Sunbelt, and our credit union welcomed all kinds of people, not just military personnel. As we grew with the community, we became Grow. The name reflected the essence of who we are and what we set out to do—help people grow. Personally. Professionally. Financially. And after 60 years, we’re just getting started.
