Our roots go back to the middle of America, quite literally. In 1997, a group of Kansans purchased the Esbon State Bank, located just miles from the geographic center of the United States. It was for this reason we changed our name to Mid America Bank. We moved our headquarters to Baldwin City, KS in 2001 but have maintained our middle-of-America values.
Since moving our headquarters we have added branches in Wellsville, Lawrence, Gardner, Palco, Eudora and coming soon to Norton. Through all of this growth we have maintained our deep community ties because we believe a bank is only as good as the community it serves. The banking world changes constantly but the importance of community does not.
