Investment options are available to any HSA participant once minimums have been met. By opening the HSA, you irrevocably elect to make all contributions into the FDIC-insured, Interest-bearing Bank Portion (Bank Portion) of your HSA until your account balance reaches $2,000. Thereafter, you may transfer monies from the Bank Portion of your HSA into any of the mutual funds which are available for investment in your HSA (none of which are FDIC-insured). Once your account reaches $2,000, you may also designate future contributions into your mutual funds in addition to your Bank Portion.
