About

Utah First Credit Union began in 1935 as Utah German American Federal Credit Union, established by German immigrants in Salt Lake City who needed loans to bring their families to America. Originally starting with just 23 shares totaling $115, the credit union underwent two name changes - first to Utah C.V. Federal Credit Union in 1937 and then to Utah First Federal Credit Union in 1996. Today, while serving thousands of members across nine Utah branches, the institution maintains its founding principles of providing accessible credit and supporting community members' financial goals.
